i am a mess.


yet ever since one humid summer night in my best friend/brother's room back in high school, i have had this one thing:
it's little 
+ possibly silly
 but it makes me feel better nonetheless.

i am in a bit of a pickle.
i must find some boots.
+ it's becoming urgent
[i've actually worn holes into the bottoms of my current boots]
+ i've really only two pairs of shoes in all:
one pair of darling melissa campana black flats + a pair of old urban outfitters brown suede boots.


of course, being me + not being one to buy many shoes, this once.every.three.to.four.year ordeal is some business.
so i put it to a vote
[albeit a very unlikely one, as i am not quite as wealthy as i would like to be]
but who cares?
i can dream.......

i am utterly in love with both of these

i hate onions.

i hate onions.

with great fury + passion.
i have for years + there is a .001% chance that this will ever change.
so why am i craving this?

"this" is french onion soup.
+ the answer is: i am sick.
[ill, under the weather, not feeling well]
yes, i have the worlds most annoying + intense cold.
+ when i am sick like this i get the strangest + heartiest appetite.
+ i want french onion soup.
now.
of course i will not be making any because that would require me to handle onions
[those cursed vegetables, i hate them so much i don't think they deserve to be a vegetable]

i love literature.

i love comics.

therefore: i love graphic novels.

+ i particularly love the sandman series:

the graphic novel is a wunderkind of sorts

------->brilliantly blending mediums of both art + literature 

this series is one of my favourites because it is not for the faint of heart.

it is both brutal + beautiful. 

[+ not for children]

so if you need an escape, a journey:

pick up volume one + take a stroll into a world of unimaginable sights + sounds + stories.

you won't be sorry.

sweet dreams

i've never been one much for sleep
------------>but i certainly appreciate it in all it's soft, delicate glory
being a restless body: 
i've had to make some adjustments to entice sleep along.
one such adjustment was the addition of a sleep mask.
now this may sound old fashioned
[then again i love old fashioned things]
but they really are marvelous little things.
they work wonders for the light sleeper
+ i always feel classically girly, like holly golightly from breakfast at tiffany's! 
i found this stunningly simple + sexy little mask by hopeless on etsy.

it is made of luscious 100% silk, with a choice of nine different colours, accompanied by sweet velvet bows on either side.

i think i'd be partial to the cream colour, or possibly the lavender.

it's quite the sensual beauty

i have officially moved out + into the great unknown!
+ despite my moments of small sadness, i am thrilled.
this is a time of unexpected happenings + possibility.


+ i have alcohol.
i'm settling for wine tonight, but i get paid tomorrow + i am going to go find the biggest + best black + tan this town has to offer.
[yes: i am a beer girl. i love it. i dream about it.]

+ as you can see, i get it from my parents....
